As expected it remained rather gloomy today as the depth of the moisture across southern New England was greater than it had been over the past couple of days. A cold front will approach from the west tonight with the wind backing into the southwest by morning...this should help thin out the areas of fog a bit but I still expect a cloudy start to the day with areas of patchy fog. 

The wind will continue to back into the west Saturday morning driving in drier air which will bring about a mostly sunny sky. Highs will climb well into the mid 80s over inland areas and reach into the mid to upper 70s at area beaches. A warm front will try to move back across the area Sunday & Monday with more clouds and the threat of showers. At this point it looks the best chance of showers Sunday will occur to our northwest...Monday will likely feature a few showers & thunderstorms closer to our area.
